What are the ingredients to make fried Okra recipe?

To make delicious fried okra or bhindi ki sabji

  • Ladies Finger 200gms.
  • Onions sliced 1medium.
  • Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp.
  • Coriander Powder 1/2 tsp.
  • Cummin Powder 1/2 tsp.
  • Ginger Paste 3/4 tsp.
  • Garlic Paste 3/4 tsp.
  • Oil to fry 3tbsp.
  • Salt to taste.


1. Clean the Ladies Fingers with water and wipe dry with a clean cloth.
Chop the Ladies Fingers from both ends which is not edible and make small slices in a bowl do not wash the slices in water as its release a sticky gel like substance which will make it difficult to clean, you have to clean it before chopping.

2. Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onions and saute till it becomes golden brown, now add the ginger paste and garlic paste and saute for 1minute .

3. Add the turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and saute.

4. Add 3/4 cup of water and cook at medium flame for about 10minutes.
Put off the flame and your dish is ready.

Serve with rice.
